ICE's War on Children
Liam Conejo Ramos, the preschooler who was kidnapped by ICE and sent to a concentration camp in Texas, has been released, the result of a blistering order from a West Texas judge.
More children are still being held in camps, however, including two others from Liam's preschool. Children protested their unjust confinement this week at the Dilley concentration camp, which has a history of inhumane conditions, and has just confirmed a measles outbreak.
ICE is continuing to abduct and imprison children, using rapid detention flights to quickly move them out of reach of lawyers or their families. Lawyers describe it as a "conveyor belt" strategy for illegally detaining immigrants against judges' orders.
ICE in Minnesota and Elsewhere
Last weekend, unions and businesses in Minneapolis held a general strike to protest the federal invasion and occupation of their city.
Despite its rhetoric, the administration is not de-escalating in Minnesota; they have replaced CBP chief Greg Bovino with Border Czar Tom Homan, who has his own history of corruption and racism.
DHS is also defying judges' orders in Minnesota, has admitted that it is not recording many of the abuses, including murder, that occur in its camps, and is scaling up its efforts in other parts of the country as well.
Dave Perry, in the Minnesota Star Tribune, argues that DHS should be abolished.

Trump's War on the Free Republic
Four journalists were arrested by the regime for reporting on a protest at a Minneapolis church, where an ICE field commander is a pastor – including independent journalist Georgia Fort and former CNN anchor Don Lemon. All four have been released; they are still facing charges.
In addition to attacking legitimate journalists, the regime is elevating "slopagandists" and right-wing provocateurs, to elevate disinformation and destroy any possibility of shared truth. Mia Sato at the Verge dives in to the phenomenon.
FBI agents raided Fulton County, seizing election records amid Trump's ongoing claims of voter fraud. None of these claims have been true.
Trump's national park service has also attacked displays in Philadelphia, memorializing the people enslaved by George Washington, in a blatant attempt to erase the history of slavery in America.
Trump has also announced his intention to shut down the Kennedy Center for "renovations", but considering that his East Wing project has resulted in a demolition site with absolutely no new construction, it seems like he might just destroy it completely.
